PERSISTENT CALL FOR INVESTMENT FROM AZERBAIJANI MINISTER
It is necessary to emphasise that Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov persistently invited Turkish companies to invest in Karabakh within the framework of this issue if we get back to the business forum held in Baku to raise the issue of investment in Karabakh. Jabbarov gives the following messages:
I would like to thank the member countries of the Turkish Council, especially Turkey, which supported our just cause in the Karabakh war.
There are great business and investment opportunities in Karabakh. Because it is the priority of our state to create the best environment for immigrants to return to their homes”, and he called on companies of sister countries to take part in work in areas liberated from occupation. Jabbarov stated that the works for the implementation of the Zangezur corridor, which would unite the western provinces of Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan, continued, and that cooperation and stability in the region would be strengthened with this project. Minister Jabbarov, expressing that the Zangezur corridor, which would connect the main part of Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan, would play an important role in the logistics field, said, “This corridor will provide a direct connection to Turkey, as well as create better opportunities for the export of products from Central Asian countries. Meanwhile, it will be turned into an irreplaceable corridor to increase the efficiency of trade between our countries.
Turkish Council Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev said, “The common goal for all of us is to realise the Karabakh reconstruction, which was rescued from the occupation, as soon as possible.
We are ready to do our best in the development of Karabakh.”
