We can establish business contacts with the new administration in Afghanistan
Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced that they were ready to engage constructively with Afghanistan’s new administration. Noting that Kazakhstan’s pragmatic foreign policy is becoming more and more important, Kazakh President Tokayev said, “First of all, we are ready to establish constructive business connections with the new administration to solve the deep humanitarian crisis this country, which has been suffering for a long time, is facing.”
Tokayev, pointing out that there is only an hour flight distance from Almaty to Kabul in the south of the country, although there are no common borders with Afghanistan, said: “First of all, we are ready to establish constructive business connections with the new administration in order to solve the deep humanitarian crisis that this country, which has been suffering for a long time, is facing.”
Tokayev stated that he believed that Kazakhstan should be a stable, sovereign state living in peace with itself and its neighbours, saying, “I hope that the Taliban will prove that they are open to more moderate negotiation by forming a truly unified, inclusive, and representative national government.” (www.dunyabulteni.net)
