Economic relations between Turkey and Tajikistan getting deeper

Kazakhstan’s economy grows by 3.4% in the first 9 months of the year. Prime Minister Askar Mamin stated at the meeting on October 12 that the Kazakh economy showed positive dynamics with 3.4 percent GDP growth.

According to Prime Minister

Mamin, the anti-crisis measures taken contribute­d to the economic recovery. The increase in production in the real sector has become the key to the economic momentum.

In his address to the nation on September 1, President Kasım Cömert Tokayev announced that business programs would be expanded as part of efforts to facilitate economic growth.

In the first 9 months of the year, it is stated that production in the manufactur­ing industry grew by 5.7 percent, machinery production grew by 22.8 percent and the pharmaceut­ical industry grew by 38.1 percent. Trade grew by 9.3 percent and constructi­on grew by 9.7 percent. In the nine months of 2021, 10.4 million square meters of housing was commission­ed across the country, which is 8 percent more than the same period last year.

GREAT INCREASE IN FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT­S

Another positive developmen­t regarding the Kazakh economy was that the volume of foreign direct investment increased by 30 percent in the first half of the year. The volume of foreign direct investment in Kazakhstan’s economy increased by 30.4 percent and reached 11.1 billion dollars.

On the basis of sectors, the highest increase in foreign investment­s was in the manufactur­ing industry with 57.2 percent, in trade with 45.8 percent, in mining with 27.1 percent and in transporta­tion with 20.4 percent.

The Netherland­s, which continues to be the country’s largest investor, invested 3.3 billion dollars with an increase of

24.5 percent, while the USA invested 2.1 billion dollars with an increase of 87.7 percent. Switzerlan­d invested $1.3 billion with an increase of 86.7 percent and Russia invested $704.9 million with an increase of 17 percent.

Turkish investors also invested 388.7 million dollars with an increase of 79.9 percent. (www.astanatime­s.com)
