In less than three weeks, Expo 2020 will open its arms and doors to the world in what is set to be the biggest event ever hosted in the UAE.

The world’s greatest show will bring together more than 190 countries for an events programme of innovation, culture, art, music, food and sport.

From 1 October to 31 March, visitors will have the opportunity to examine the debates that are shaping how we harness the potential of, and engage with, the living world, as well as our impact on it via immersive and interactive activities.

Three core themes will be explored throughout the 182 days namely Sustainability, Mobility and Opportunity with each country hosting its own pavilion that showcases how their nation is contributing to global discussions on hot topics.

Each pavilion will follow in the UAE’s tradition of great feats of architectural brilliance, featuring the likes of augmented reality simulations to living and breathing structures.

The most impressive will be the UAE pavilion designed by Santiago Calatrava. Telling the story of the country’s journey to a global hub for business and technology and its leaders’ visions to create a progressive society with ambitious plans, the structure stands four storeys high over 15,000 square metres, making it the biggest pavilion surface at Expo 2020.

Located in the Opportunity district of the park, the visually stunning building is shaped like a falcon in full flight and will enable guests to discover a vast range of Emirati culture and achievements.

The pavilion has yet to been unveiled so keep in touch with Yalla - Abu Dhabi Life for the latest updates.
