James McDonald

UK-based interiors photographer James McDonald has worked for leading designers around the world, and has captured some of the most beautiful houses in the region. For this issue, McDonald photographed two elegantly styled homes in Beirut, one of which features as our sumptuous cover story (p.78). How would describe your interiors style? Distressed bohemian.

Your favourite city? After graduating university, I travelled to Cape Town where I did an interior design course for a year and have gone back almost every year since. It’s a special place.
