What would be your advice to the nervous, post-pandemic traveller? There’s no shame in baby steps. Choose a destination that you feel safe in – perhaps one you’re familiar with; keep the travel as uncomplicated as possible.

What’s the most rewarding part about being a travel journalist? It’s the people and the stories you chance along the way – these are far more memorable than the bucket list moments.

The next big trend in leisure?

Personalisation is a big buzzword right now and I’d expect to see even more of it seeping into every aspect of the travel experience.
