OPEN HOUSE
Italian brand Visionnaire always puts an artistic spin on its collections, which are celebrated for their dramatic forms and opulent material finishes. This year, the brand has gone a step further and created an entire concept home as its showcase at the Salone fairground, consisting of six sanctuary-like spaces that reflect the emotions and rituals of domestic life. The journey begins with a winter garden, influenced by traditional examples that bring the outdoors in, and moves on through an atrium, which serves as a border between social and private worlds. Next comes the convivium, a kitchen-meets-living area; the daytime oasis, a living-dining hybrid where the focus is on relaxation and socialising; the daytime oasis, a pampering zone incorporating the wardrobe and bathroom; and finally a sensual boudoir. As visitors move through the zones, they’ll experience a series of new designs, including Draga&Aurel’s futuristic Aries armchair and Sputnik-Oxy lighting, inspired by the Space Age experiments of Paco Rabanne and André Courrèges, and Mauro Lipparini’s dramatic Villa d’Este kitchen in boiserie and Patagonian quartzite. There are also pieces by new collaborators: Marta Naddeo’s textured Venetian glass lighting and Studiopepe’s tactile Blanche mirror, whose etched surface is revealed by drawing aside a fringed leather curtain. visionnaire-home.com
