CRISTINA CELESTINO
“Narrative, colourful, iconographic” – this is how Cristina Celestino describes her style. And, in the tradition of the great Italian maestri, does not allow herself to be pinned down to one creative discipline. She’s an architect, designer, collector, and founder of her own furniture label, Attico Design. “Most of the time, clients commission me to design furniture, lighting, home textiles or accessories,” she says in her elegant studio on Viale Romagna, “but sometimes I also design pieces for an interior design project, which I later have produced myself and sell through Attico Design.” Ames, Billiani, ccTapis, Fendi and Maison Matisse are among the illustrious customers of the perfectionist who, as creative director, conceives the entire spectrum from product design to photographic staging and the graphic design of catalogues to exhibition design. For Salone 60, Celestino is presenting, among other things, a new collection of handmade ceramic tiles for Giovanni di Maio. cristinacelestino.com
