DEREK CASTIGLIONI

-

He is not related to the legendary Castiglioni, but like Achille, Derek, who was born in Varese as the son of a landscaper, does not limit himself to one design discipline: The greenthumbed “outdoor space designer” studied architecture and urban planning. Today, in cooperation with other architecture and design offices such as Dimore Studio, he transforms spaces into urban oases full of plants, be it apartments, terraces or gardens. He also designs covetable furniture that looks as good indoors as outside: stylish chairs, armchairs and side tables that are reminiscent of Fifties pastel garden furniture and can conjure up the feeling of Capri in the most urban environment. In addition to developing new furniture and planters, Castiglioni, who has a passion for classic cars, is currently working on an ambitious project in the field of sustainable agriculture.
