Italy and Japan: Marvellous Liaisons

This room invited visitors to delve into a dialogue between the finest Italian craftsmanship and Japanese culture. It was smartly illustrated by a selection of objects handcrafted by Italian master artisans, many designated as ‘MAM’ (the Italian equivalent of Japan’s National Living Treasures), and inspired by Japanese decorative motifs, techniques, and materials.
