It’s hard to imagine a more vivid illustration

of French flair in les arts de la table than the Soleil d’Hermès ceramics collection. Created by illustrator Arielle de Brichambaut

in collaboration with Benoît Pierre Emery, creative director of La Table Hermès, they’re an ode to summer and conviviality, rendered in the most uplifting yellow hue imaginable. Consisting of a complete 24-piece service,

the range is adorned with motifs that suggest stylised palm trees, flowers and

rays; each design is delicately outlined in black to suggest soft shadows. As the maison says, the range celebrates the power of the sun, which “gives rhythm to our lives and our seasons, flavour to our fruit and

warmth to the wind”. The layered mix of patterns creates a free-spirited yet refined

look that’s ideal for any summer table, indoors or out, whether you’re indulging in an al fresco breakfast or entertaining on

a grand scale. Hermes.com – A.B.
