Arab me­dia in­dus­try re­quires uni­fied dis­course – Min­is­ter

Kuwait’s In­for­ma­tion Min­is­ter Mo­ham­mad Al Jabri said last Mon­day that the Arab me­dia in­dus­try re­quires form­ing a sin­gle Arab dis­course in or­der to cre­ate a cul­ture and thought of en­light­en­ment.

Al Jabri made the re­mark while leav­ing for Saudi Ara­bia last week to at­tend the cer­e­mony for choos­ing Riyadh as the Cap­i­tal of Arab me­dia for the year 2018-2019.

He added that Riyadh’s lead­er­ship of the re­gion’s me­dia in the up­com­ing pe­riod will re­flect pos­i­tively on the in­dus­try in ad­dress­ing the in­ter­ests and sta­bil­ity of Arab coun­tries.

He also noted that Kuwait is keen on co­or­di­nat­ing and col­lab­o­rat­ing with all Arab coun­tries in solv­ing re­gional sit­u­a­tions that re­quire unity.

Al Jabri also af­firmed the long and deep his­tory be­tween Kuwait and Saudi Ara­bia, and also ex­pressed his grat­i­tude to­wards Saudi Min­is­ter of In­for­ma­tion Awad Bin Saleh Al Awad for invit­ing him to at­tend the cer­e­mony.
