Arab media industry requires unified discourse – Minister
Kuwait’s Information Minister Mohammad Al Jabri said last Monday that the Arab media industry requires forming a single Arab discourse in order to create a culture and thought of enlightenment.
Al Jabri made the remark while leaving for Saudi Arabia last week to attend the ceremony for choosing Riyadh as the Capital of Arab media for the year 2018-2019.
He added that Riyadh’s leadership of the region’s media in the upcoming period will reflect positively on the industry in addressing the interests and stability of Arab countries.
He also noted that Kuwait is keen on coordinating and collaborating with all Arab countries in solving regional situations that require unity.
Al Jabri also affirmed the long and deep history between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, and also expressed his gratitude towards Saudi Minister of Information Awad Bin Saleh Al Awad for inviting him to attend the ceremony.
