The Middle East’s most powerful business voices predict the year ahead

THE NEXT 12 MONTHS COULD PROVE TO be the most vital for decades to come. From Brexit in the UK, and political challenges in the Middle East, to slowing output in China and fears over US equity markets, the jury is out on whether 2019 will be a year of growth or fear. In a special issue of Arabian Business, the region’s most influential voices lay out their projections for what lies in store.

But one could argue that the Middle East is prepared for any eventualities. It has grown accustomed to taking hits in property, construction and tourism, only to rise back bigger and better. Predictions aside, the region has proven itself capable of withstanding even the harshest of political and business climates, all the while making its mark on the global stage.
