Flying in style

At last month’s 2018 Monaco Yacht Show, Airbus Corporate Helicopters (ACH), Airbus’ private and business helicopter division, showcased its new ACH135 Helionix. As the latest iteration of the Helionix twin-engine helicopter line, the updated aircraft boasts streamlined flight management controls, improved safety, as well as enhanced situation awareness for the pilot. New features on the aircraft include an auto-hover capability that is ideally suited for low-visibility and high traffic scenarios, as well as a ‘go-around’ feature that locks the helicopter into a set holding pattern. The ACH135 also comes standard with automated engine management, which improves overall flight safety and compensates if one of the two engines fail.

“With approximately 300 helicopter-capable yachts worldwide, there are increasing requirements for more reliable, compact and versatile helicopters capable of transporting passengers and cargo in all environments,” said Frederic Lemos, head of Airbus Corporate Helicopters.
