Etihad ups frequency to London during festive season
The airline will increase the number of daily services from three to four for the period
Aiming to meet peak demand in the upcoming festive season, Etihad Airways announced an increase in the frequency of flights heading from Abu Dhabi to London Heathrow.
Starting from the 15 December 2018 and until the 13 January 2019, the carrier will increase its number of daily services from three to four. According to the airline, the flight will be operated by a twoclass Boeing 787-9, featuring 28 Business Studios and 271 Economy Smart Seats.
“We are thrilled to announce more flights to London over the festive period. This is a busy time for local guests travelling between both capitals and the extra service will allow more choice and flexibility in their travel,” said James Harrison, General Manager for Etihad Airways in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The new additions are expected to operate in parallel to Etihad Airway’s existing scheduled three daily flights from Abu Dhabi to London services. The existing flights have and will continue to operate on three-class Airbus A380 aircraft.
Aside from the increased flights to London, the carrier previously announced new seasonal frequency in- creases and aircraft upgrades on a number of key routes during the peak winter period. This includes additional capacity to Bahrain, Belgrade, Cairo, Istanbul, Medina and Kuwait.
