DXB de­ploys first Chevro­let Bolt EV

Dubai Air­ports, Chevro­let Mid­dle East and Al Ghandi Auto, have col­lab­o­rated to­gether to in­tro­duce the elec­tric ve­hi­cle at DXB

As part of its ef­forts to re­duce its car­bon foot­print and im­pact on the en­vi­ron­ment, Dubai Air­ports re­cently in­tro­duced a brand new Bolt elec­tric ve­hi­cle (Bolt EV) into its ground sup­port fleet.

Con­ceived as part of an on­go­ing col­lab­o­ra­tion be­tween Dubai Air­ports, Chevro­let Mid­dle East and Al Ghandi Auto, the Bolt EV boasts a driv­ing range of up to 520 kilo­me­tres on a sin­gle charge.

“Our part­ner­ship with Chevro­let is in line with our con­tin­ued ef­forts to con­trib­ute to Dubai’s green ini­tia­tives. The ad­di­tion of the Chevro­let Bolt EV to our sup­port ve­hi­cle fleet will go a long way in in­creas­ing aware­ness of the ben­e­fits of elec­tric ve­hi­cles while fur­ther ce­ment­ing our align­ment our push for en­vi­ron­men­tally re­spon­si­ble mo­bil­ity so­lu­tions,” said Paul Grif­fiths, CEO of Dubai Air­ports.

“We are con­stantly look­ing for greater ef­fi­cien­cies across all our op­er­a­tions and this part­ner­ship was a nat­u­ral next step in this di­rec­tion,” he added.

The lat­est ad­di­tion to Dubai In­ter­na­tional’s sup­port fleet is tasked with trans­port­ing teams across the air­port grounds to com­plete spe­cific work projects, such as air­field main­te­nance, traf­fic man­age­ment, as well as run­way and taxi in­spec­tions.
