DXB deploys first Chevrolet Bolt EV
Dubai Airports, Chevrolet Middle East and Al Ghandi Auto, have collaborated together to introduce the electric vehicle at DXB
As part of its efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and impact on the environment, Dubai Airports recently introduced a brand new Bolt electric vehicle (Bolt EV) into its ground support fleet.
Conceived as part of an ongoing collaboration between Dubai Airports, Chevrolet Middle East and Al Ghandi Auto, the Bolt EV boasts a driving range of up to 520 kilometres on a single charge.
“Our partnership with Chevrolet is in line with our continued efforts to contribute to Dubai’s green initiatives. The addition of the Chevrolet Bolt EV to our support vehicle fleet will go a long way in increasing awareness of the benefits of electric vehicles while further cementing our alignment our push for environmentally responsible mobility solutions,” said Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports.
“We are constantly looking for greater efficiencies across all our operations and this partnership was a natural next step in this direction,” he added.
The latest addition to Dubai International’s support fleet is tasked with transporting teams across the airport grounds to complete specific work projects, such as airfield maintenance, traffic management, as well as runway and taxi inspections.
