Round up of MRO agree­ments and ca­pa­bil­ity de­vel­op­ments, both in re­gion and be­yond


Virgin Atlantic re-ups Tren­chard; Ex­e­cu­jet Haite ex­pands China Port­fo­lio; Sky Re­gional Airlines signs Stan­dard­Aero

Virgin Atlantic re­cently re­newed its long-term MRO con­tract with Tren­chard Aviation Group, a provider of air­craft cabin MRO ser­vices. Tren­chard Aviation Group is ex­pected to con­tinue de­liv­er­ing air­craft cabin ma­te­rial man­age­ment ser­vices to the car­rier. It has also been re­ported that the work will be car­ried out by the Group’s nose-to­tail cabin main­te­nance and to­tal care man­age­ment com­pany, Aero Tech­nics. The com­pany will de­liver a range of ser­vices as part of the pro­ject, such as in­te­rior parts de­vel­op­ment and re­pair, gal­ley in­sert re­pairs, and dry clean­ing.

Ex­e­cu­Jet Haite Aviation Ser­vices China has unveiled a new set of heavy main­te­nance ca­pa­bil­i­ties for its fa­cil­ity at Tian­jin Bin­hai In­ter­na­tional Air­port in China. The com­pany is now au­tho­rised to con­duct CAAC Base Main­te­nance on the Gulfstream V se­ries (G550) up to 72-month base check, along with ca­pa­bil­i­ties for the Falcon 7X for up to 48-month base check. Ad­di­tion­ally, Ex­e­cu­Jet Haite added the en­tire Bombardier Global prod­uct line up for both EASA and Aruba cer­ti­fi­ca­tion up to 60-month check.

Stan­dard­Aero has an­nounced a new multi-year agree­ment with Sky Re­gional Airlines, where it is tasked in de­liv­er­ing MRO ser­vices for the air­line’s Pratt & Whit­ney Canada APS2300 aux­il­iary power units (APUs). The APUs are cur­rently de­ployed across the en­tirety of the car­rier’s Em­braer E175 re­gional jets. The MRO ser­vice provider will ser­vice fleet’s APS2300 APUs at its OEM-ap­proved Autho­rized Re­pair Fa­cil­ity (ARF) in Maryville, Ten­nessee.
