Avani takes to island life

AVANI FARES MALDIVES RESORT is targeting a Q4 2019 launch, marking the brand’s debut on the Indian Ocean islands. The $70 million resort, a joint venture between Minor Hotels and Cyprea Group, is being built on a secluded 12.4 hectare island and will contain 200 rooms, including standard rooms and a selection of villas. Alongside free wifi, meeting space, speciality restaurant and all-day restaurant will be The Pantry serving comfort food and ‘artisanal deli snacks’ around the clock. Leisure facilities include AvaniSpa, Avani Kids Club and large communal pool and pool bar.

During the summer the brand also announced it will open its first resort in Mauritius, Avani Bel-Ombre Mauritius Resort & Spa, in 2021. come up with a novel idea by introducing a pop up restaurant on a sandbank ($200-250pp, pictured).
