Flydubai places major order for 175 B737 MAX
FLYDUBAI HAS spelled out its regional narrowbody ambitions after placing a $27 billion order for 175 B737 MAX aircraft (with 50 options) which will be phased in from 2019. The airline will have a fleet of 61 Next-Generation B737-800 aircraft and B737 MAX 8 aircraft by the end of this year and already has a pipeline of 70 aircraft due for delivery by 2023.
The airline displayed its new B737 MAX at the Dubai Airshow which contains a 10-seat business class cabin. The MAX planes will initially be deployed on long routes such as Bangkok, Prague, Yekaterinburg and Zanzibar. Turn to page 22 to read more on the new cabins and Dubai Airshow 2017
