Business Traveller (Middle East) - - Tried & Tested -

The official opening in November was attended by HH Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Isadore Sharp, Four Seasons’ Founder and Chairman, and J. Allen Smith, President and CEO, illustrating its significance to Kuwait and the luxury operator. It becomes the 22nd property in the Middle East & Africa. WHERE IS IT? MEETING FACILITIES Two ballrooms are available, Al Mirqab on the ground floor (716sqm) and Al Bidaa on the first floor (1,351sqm). Four of the function rooms (Al Jabriyah, Al Salmiya, Al Mubarakiya and Sharq) come with natural light or outdoor space. LEISURE FACILITIES Outstanding, and something of a surprise given the tower design; beneath the fourth floor outdoor pool is an indoor pool long enough for 33 overhanging mashrabiya-designed lights and rain-curtain Jacuzzi pool, and fitness centre. I enjoyed an hour-long massage in the second floor spa, which has a smaller Jacuzzi and simple but effective candlelit relaxation area with soothing music on headphones. Dominic Ellis
