Lando for loyalty
Hilton extends partnership with McLaren Racing giving Honors members access to more F1 experiences
Hilton is getting members of its Honors guest loyalty programme all revved up with news that it has extended its long-standing partnership with McLaren Racing. It means access to Lando for loyalty, well, kind of, with the 22-year-old, the youngest ever British F1 driver, featuring in many of the online, and occasionally, in-person experiences available to Honors members as part of the tie-up, which was inked in 2005.
The McLaren Racing and Hilton joint content programme includes the recent and highly popular ‘Ride to School with Lando’ feature, which became one of McLaren’s top five most viewed Instagram grid videos with more than two million views.
The online film featured a boy being chauffeured into school by Lando Norris after his dad won the trip via his Hilton Honors membership.
As a McLaren partner, Hilton also plays host to the McLaren F1 team at its hotels in race locations around the world.
In addition, Hilton branding will continue to be carried across McLaren F1 race cars from 2022 onwards.
McLaren Racing was founded by New Zealand racing driver Bruce McLaren in 1963. The team entered its first Formula 1 race in 1966 and since then, McLaren has won 20 Formula 1 world championships, more than 180 Formula 1 Grand Prix, the Le Mans 24 Hours at its first attempt and the Indianapolis 500 three times.
The team is currently contesting the 2022 FIA Formula 1 World Championship with both Lando Norris and Aussie driver, Daniel Ricciardo, behind the wheel.
