Café Super Brasil is a traditional Lebanese brand and one of the uncontested leaders in the Turkish coffee industry. Although fans of the brand have remained faithful since 1970, it faces a growing challenge recruiting young Turkish coffee drinkers, most of whom tend to choose the more convenient solutions provided by instant coffee. Drive Dentsu Beirut decided to address this growing challenge through the simple dynamics associated with anticipating a cup of Turkish coffee and celebrating it. This was brought to life as a musical ad inspired by historical performances, key figures and specific mannerisms of the golden era of Lebanese ‘traditional pop’.
