Top Gear star fronts light­hearted first-class spot.

Emi­rates’ cam­paign for the air­line’s first-class pri­vate suites is fronted by TV celebrity and mo­tor­ing ex­pert Jeremy Clark­son. The spot be­gins with close-up shots of a leather seat, a flat screen and con­trol but­tons. Clark­son nar­rates the fea­tures in a way that leads the viewer to as­sume he is re­fer­ring to a car. He de­liv­ers the punch­line as an air­craft zooms over­head, re­veal­ing that the ve­hi­cle he is talk­ing about has a top speed of 700 miles per hour. The ad was scripted in-house, and shot by award-win­ning di­rec­tor Vaughan Ar­nell, who also col­lab­o­rated on Emi­rates’ re­cent “World of good times” cam­paign.
