Tarek Daouk moves from Star­com to be Dentsu Aegis Net­work CEO

Dentsu Aegis Net­work has an­nounced the ex­ec­u­tive ap­point­ment of Tarek Daouk as CEO of the Mid­dle East and North Africa, a move that will con­tinue to drive for­ward the or­gan­i­sa­tion’s am­bi­tion to be­come a 100 per cent dig­i­tal econ­omy busi­ness by 2020. In his new role, Daouk will take re­spon­si­bil­ity for ac­cel­er­at­ing Dentsu Aegis’ growth in MENA as the or­gan­i­sa­tion de­liv­ers in­te­grated so­lu­tions across creative, me­dia, data and con­tent. Daouk will also play a crit­i­cal role in mo­bil­is­ing the ex­ist­ing strat­egy of growth through merg­ers and ac­qui­si­tions, says the com­pany.

Daouk brings with him more than 20 years of in­dus­try ex­pe­ri­ence in a num­ber of lead­er­ship roles, most re­cently as the CEO of Star­com Mid­dle East. Through­out his ca­reer, Daouk has worked with a num­ber of bluechip ad­ver­tis­ers in­clud­ing GSK, GM, Mars, Mon­delez, P&G, Sam­sung and Visa.
