As part of its global “Save Water” campaign, Colgate-Palmolive Company is launching its #TurnOffTheTap social media awareness campaign in the Gulf region to raise awareness about the importance of water conservation. Research shows that individuals can waste up to 15 Liters of fresh clean water every time they leave the water running while brushing their teeth. Hence, ‘turning’ is all it takes to close the tap and save litres of wasted clean water every day. To take part in the campaign and raise awareness about water conservation, all participants have to do is upload an upside down picture on social media platforms, together with the hashtag #TurnOffTheTap to signify their pledge to conserve water every time they brush their teeth. The campaign kicked off on March 29 and is being supported by social media influencers from the region to encourage their thousands and millions of followers to turn off the tap and save fresh clean water day in and day out.
