As part of its global “Save Wa­ter” cam­paign, Col­gate-Pal­mo­live Com­pany is launch­ing its #TurnOf­fTheTap so­cial me­dia aware­ness cam­paign in the Gulf re­gion to raise aware­ness about the im­por­tance of wa­ter con­ser­va­tion. Re­search shows that in­di­vid­u­als can waste up to 15 Liters of fresh clean wa­ter every time they leave the wa­ter run­ning while brush­ing their teeth. Hence, ‘turn­ing’ is all it takes to close the tap and save litres of wasted clean wa­ter every day. To take part in the cam­paign and raise aware­ness about wa­ter con­ser­va­tion, all par­tic­i­pants have to do is up­load an up­side down pic­ture on so­cial me­dia plat­forms, to­gether with the hash­tag #TurnOf­fTheTap to sig­nify their pledge to con­serve wa­ter every time they brush their teeth. The cam­paign kicked off on March 29 and is be­ing sup­ported by so­cial me­dia in­flu­encers from the re­gion to en­cour­age their thou­sands and mil­lions of fol­low­ers to turn off the tap and save fresh clean wa­ter day in and day out.
