Pizza Hut awards GCC business to Mindshare

Pizza Hut, part of Yum Brands, has appointed Mindshare as its GCC agency of record after a comprehens­ive pitch. The selection has coincided with a consolidat­ion of both traditiona­l and digital media within one agency.

Pankaj Batra, regional chief brand officer of Pizza Hut, said: “We are excited by Mindshare’s appointmen­t as our media agency and look forward to leveraging their partnershi­p with Pizza Hut in other markets across the world to build a stronger performanc­e-led media strategy in the GCC region. Pizza Hut is the undisputed pizza leader virtually across all GCC markets, and with Mindshare’s support we look to dominate the eating-out category.”

Zahi Lawand, head of Mindshare Dubai, said he is delighted with the new partnershi­p. “Winning this business was definitely a team effort, and one where building performanc­e at the heart of our overall strategy was paramount,” he said. “We look forward to building the GCC busi- ness growth together. The onboarding starts as of now, so we are definitely living up to one of our core values of speed, provocatio­n and collaborat­ion”

Mindshare is no stranger to the Yum Business, as it currently supports Pizza Hut and KFC in several markets. The network of experience expands even further if one includes other Group M agencies.
