Racha Makarem named as re­gional CEO of Publi­cis Me­dia’s Star­com

Racha Makarem will be­come the new re­gional CEO of Publi­cis Groupe’s Star­com me­dia agency from Jan­uary 1, 2019.

In a state­ment, the Groupe said: “As a busi­ness, we un­der­stand the com­plex trans­for­ma­tion our clients are go­ing through to cap­ture prof­itable growth and build rel­e­vance in the fast evolv­ing land­scape of to­mor­row. It is with this in mind that Publi­cis Me­dia has in­vested in trans­for­ma­tive tal­ent to build our ca­pa­bil­i­ties across strat­egy, dig­i­tal, data, an­a­lyt­ics and in­sights, which drive more in­formed busi­ness de­ci­sions.”

Makarem has been with Publi­cis Me­dia for 15 years. She was head of the an­a­lyt­ics and in­sights prac­tice, and more re­cently man­ag­ing di­rec­tor of the data sci­ence prac­tice.

Publi­cis said: “Racha has con­tin­u­ally de­liv­ered re­sults driven so­lu­tions based on the com­plex in­sights of data across the en­tire Publi­cis Me­dia client port­fo­lio.”

Makarem is a board mem­ber at IAB MENA, and was a tech­ni­cal con­sul­tant with the com­mit­tee work­ing on tele­vi­sion au­di­ence mea­sure­ment in the re­gion.
