Bawabat Al Sharq Mall went pink during October, raising awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness Month as it joined the women of the UAE and across the world in their fight against breast cancer. AMC – Advertising & Marketing Consultants, the mall’s advertising agency – launched a #fightlikeawoman campaign aimed to instill faith, build hope and give strength to all women to face the disease, by highlighting the importance of early detection. During the month-long programme, two days were dedicated to free mammograms for women older than 40, free screening, free informative seminars and face-to-face sessions with survivors. The campaign also included survivor videos that highlighted individual women and their successful fight against cancer. The campaign was held by the mall in collaboration with SEHA (Abu Dhabi Health Services Co.) and RAHMA (Cancer Patient Care Society).
