Dubai farmers’ market to reopen start of November
Farmers’ Market by Baker & Spice in Business Bay will be back until April
Baker & Spice’s Farmers’ Market, which is entering its tenth season, is returning to Bay Avenue in Dubai’s Business Bay from November 2.
The community-led initiative supports local organic farmers with a rent-free space to showcase their home-grown fruits and vegetables to sell directly to customers and keep all of the profits.
This year the market will run on both Fridays and Saturdays until the end of the growing season which is typically April.
With extended opening hours from 7am to 3pm, consumers can connect directly to growers and regulars can bring in their own seeds they’d like farmers to grow or else place orders for their preferred produce.
Experience some homegrown, organic fare with some partnering vendors including Carla Thetford, an artisan cheesemaker in Dubai, Dima Sharif, who buys vegeta- bles from the market and uses for picking, Mirzan chocolate, Slow Food, and more.
If you take the children they can spend their time on face painting, or painting on a canvas, as well as enjoy a playing area and skate park.
Farmers’ Market by Baker & Spice is open to everyone
