In­dian brand Cop­per Chim­ney opens first restau­rant in Dubai

It has opened in the Mil­len­nium Plaza Ho­tel on Sheikh Zayed Road

Cop­per Chim­ney, the In­dian restau­rant brand orig­i­nally founded in 1972 in Bom­bay, has opened its first out­let in the UAE.

Open­ing on the ground floor of the Mil­len­nium Plaza Ho­tel on Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road, the 130-seat restau­rant fea­tures an open kitchen and an in­te­rior with mod­ern-day art deco in­spired de­sign.

Brand di­rec­tor of Cop­per Chim­ney, Shikha Nath said: "Over the past four decades, Cop­per Chim­ney has taken mil­lions of guests on a culi­nary jour­ney ex­plor­ing and cel­e­brat­ing In­dian cui­sine, cul­ture, and flavours.

"We are thrilled to be open in Dubai, and work­ing with our fran­chise part­ners, Ex­quis­ite In­ter­na­tional Restaurants, to bring our flavours to this in­ter­na­tional din­ing des­ti­na­tion. Cop­per Chim­ney has be­come a culi­nary land­mark since its hum­ble be­gin­nings in Bom­bay and we hope to share some of those flavours here with the res­i­dents of Dubai and the rest of the UAE."

The brand al­ready has three restaurants in Kuwait, with an­other set to open in the near fu­ture, as Cop­per Chim­ney aims to in­crease its foothold in the re­gion with the help of Ex­quis­ite In­ter­na­tional Restaurants.

Ab­hi­jit Bose, F&B man­ager of Ex­quis­ite In­ter­na­tional Restaurants said: "EI Restaurants is proud of its as­so­ci­a­tion with Cop­per Chim­ney which is set to reignite the In­dian cui­sine in the re­gion. We look for­ward to a re­sound­ing re­sponse from the UAE res­i­dents and tourists alike.”

Cop­per Chim­ney was founded by prom­i­nent Bollywood f ilm­maker and avid food con­nois­seur JK Ka­pur.
