Sup­pli­ers re­port bet­ter year than ever at GulfHost 2018

Year-on-year sales and in­ter­ac­tion were said to be up

Gulf Host and the trio of be­spoke shows — yum­mex Mid­dle East, SEAFEX, and The Spe­cial­ity Food Fes­ti­val — which ran con­cur­rently at Dubai World Trade Cen­tre i n Novem­ber have re­ported a an im­proved growth in in­ter­est from busi­ness part­ners.

Ra­tio­nal AG, the Ger­man pro­fes­sional kitchen equip­ment man­u­fac­turer, were one of the f irms to re­port sig­nif icant yearon-year im­prove­ment.

Man­ag­ing di­rec­tor Si­mon Parke-Davis said: “Our tar­get is al­ways to have ac­cess to peo­ple look­ing to trans­fer ther­mal en­ergy into food. At Gulf Host we were able to meet th­ese in­di­vid­u­als and be­gin to de­velop the right busi­ness re­la­tions. Com­pared with last year we se­cured 25 per cent more l eads on t he f i rst day alone.”

Ro­ma­nia’s la rgest ice cream man­u­fac­turer, Bett y Ice, en­joyed a sweet show­ing at yum­mex Mid­dle East, se­cur­ing a reg ional par tner for it s prod­ucts in record time.

Raz van Kamin­ski, na­tional key ac­count and de­vel­op­ment man­ager, Bet t y Ice, said: “This was our sec­ond ap­pear­ance at yum­mex Mid­dle East and within the f irst day we man­aged to se­cure a par tner for the Gulf re­gion. We were able to meet not only buy­ers, but peo­ple who deal in trans­port and log is­tics who have been able to pro­vide us with in­for­ma­tion on the ship­ment meth­ods of our prod­uct.”

One firm saw a 25% in­crease in leads on day one of GulfHost.
