Suppliers report better year than ever at GulfHost 2018
Year-on-year sales and interaction were said to be up
Gulf Host and the trio of bespoke shows — yummex Middle East, SEAFEX, and The Speciality Food Festival — which ran concurrently at Dubai World Trade Centre i n November have reported a an improved growth in interest from business partners.
Rational AG, the German professional kitchen equipment manufacturer, were one of the f irms to report signif icant yearon-year improvement.
Managing director Simon Parke-Davis said: “Our target is always to have access to people looking to transfer thermal energy into food. At Gulf Host we were able to meet these individuals and begin to develop the right business relations. Compared with last year we secured 25 per cent more l eads on t he f i rst day alone.”
Romania’s la rgest ice cream manufacturer, Bett y Ice, enjoyed a sweet showing at yummex Middle East, securing a reg ional par tner for it s products in record time.
Raz van Kaminski, national key account and development manager, Bet t y Ice, said: “This was our second appearance at yummex Middle East and within the f irst day we managed to secure a par tner for the Gulf region. We were able to meet not only buyers, but people who deal in transport and log istics who have been able to provide us with information on the shipment methods of our product.”
One firm saw a 25% increase in leads on day one of GulfHost.
