Dubai café stocked with vintage Porsches opens
DRVN Dubai has opened its doors on Bluewaters Island. The two-storey café is a speciality coffee shop, pizzeria, restaurant and, most notably, a car museum. Currently, DRVN is home to three classic Porsches, including a 1948 Porsche 356 ‘No. 1’ Roadster, a 1978 Porsche 935/78 ‘Moby Dick’, and a 1970 Porsche 911 S 2.2 Targa.
Emirati ex-pilot Rashed Al Fahim founded the coffee-meets-cars concept, while RMAL Hospitality handles the consulting and development. Al Fahim wanted to combine his love for coffee, Napoletana pizza and rare cars.
“The rst thing people do when they walk in is to pull out their phones to take pictures of the cars,” Elias Madbak, managing director of RMAL Hopsitality told Caterer. “We made sure every angle of this venue was instagrammable. “Whether it’s the colours, the interiors, the food and of course, the cars”.
