An­chor Food Pro­fes­sion­als were say­ing cheese, lit­er­ally, at Gul­food this year as they pro­moted their new range of prod­ucts.

“We took the chance to launch our An­chor soft cream cheese two months ago. That is one that we are demon­strat­ing here on the stand,” said gen­eral man­ager – food­ser­vice, CAMEA, Fon­terra Brands Mid­dle East.

“The sec­ond is an­other moz­zarella. Both blend them­selves to the trends we see here across the Mid­dle East. Re­ally soft cream cheese in a Philadel­phia style is what are cus­tomers are used to, that’s what we have de­vel­oped.”

He said that while the An­chor brand has been suc­cess­ful in the re­gion, he be­lieves the advent of the Euro­pean-style cheese will only add to its suc­cess.

“We are very ex­cited, last year we man­aged to grow by dou­ble dig­its, for many brands across the re­gion, the last 12-18 months have frankly been quite dif­fi­cult,” he said.

“We have got a great prod­uct here and so we are work­ing very closely with our cus­tomers to help them grow their busi­ness and if we can help them make money it is good for them and good for us. The next 12-18 months are go­ing to be very pos­i­tive.”
