Amer­i­can dream for farm food at Gul­food 2018

Amer­ica is call­ing for Egyp­tian com­pany Farm Food. The CEO of the com­pany that spe­cialises in frozen fruit and veg­eta­bles re­vealed as much to Cater­ing News Mid­dle East at Gul­food 2018.

“Farm Food is re­struc­tur­ing right now, we are tak­ing the ap­proach that the fac­tory now will be an FDA cer­ti­fied fa­cil­ity for the US mar­ket. We are tar­get­ing the US mar­ket in terms of vol­ume and Canada as well, we are look­ing at other op­por­tu­ni­ties rather than the Mid­dle East and Africa, so we can ex­pand our reach,” said Mo­hammed Al­shorafa, CEO Farm Food (pic­tured right).

“That’s our plan, also we want to in the next 18 months we are plan­ning on hav­ing our own lo­cal brand. The same brand dis­trib­uted among the key ac­counts only. We will start open­ing it up to HORECA and the mod­ern trade after that.”
