Roger & roger ex­pands into the uae

Hav­ing a strong hold in other GCC coun­tries, the snack pro­ducer is now look­ing to break into the UAE mar­ket.

Speak­ing on the side lines of Gul­food 2018, Peter Traas, ex­port man­ager, Roger & Roger said: “We re­cently in­tro­duced a few new flavours un­der our premium brand Roger’s and see a very strong mar­ket for it in the UAE.

“We are launch­ing new flavours un­der a num­ber of brands the most re­cent be­ing the chilli flavour un­der Roger’s, which we in­tro­duced to the mar­ket in Jan­uary this year.

“The re­sponse so far for the prod­uct has been very pos­i­tive and I was hope­ful for the trac­tion with this prod­uct be­cause it works in the Euro­pean mar­ket and we have tried to trans­late it to the Mid­dle East,” he added.

Speak­ing on their plans for the re­gion Traas com­mented, “With the Roger’s brand, we are not work­ing in the UAE yet but are look­ing for a good im­porter and dis­trib­u­tor who can put my brand un­der their um­brella and start pro­mot­ing it here as well.

“We are do­ing very good sales in Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait, so we are ready to launch it in the UAE as we are look­ing to ex­pand our base and grow the brand,” he added.
