Omani chef, Ahood Al Owaisah has joined the lux­ury ho­tel as the first fe­male pas­try com­mis.

Chef Al Owaisah will be de­vel­op­ing her dessert and sweet-mak­ing skills in the main kitchen of Six Senses Zighy Bay while mak­ing tra­di­tional and in­ter­na­tional treats for the re­sort’s vis­i­tors.

Al Owaisah comes from Barka and is ex­cited to ven­ture in the culi­nary field with a five-star re­sort, “At Six Senses Zighy Bay not only do I get to share my pas­sion for sweet things with our guests, but I will also get to learn how to make health­ier desserts and ex­per­i­ment with new recipes or up­date tra­di­tional ones,” she said.

Six Senses Zighy Bay is en­cour­ag­ing more women to ap­ply to their va­can­cies and de­velop their ca­reer in the hos­pi­tal­ity sec­tor. The sus­tain­able re­sort has been wel­com­ing ap­pli­cants from Oman Tourism Col­lege and the Na­tional Hos­pi­tal­ity In­sti­tute.
