Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG) has opened doors to its second store in the UAE at the Mirdiff City Centre, Dubai.
The store will be hosting promotional events on 24th and 25th October to ahead of the release of flagship Mate 20 Series in the UAE and kick start the prebooking period for the new device.
David Wang, UAE Country Manager, Huawei Consumer Business Group, said, “The United Arab Emirates holds a strategic position for Huawei’s goals of global leadership in the industry. With the new store, we welcome both new and existing Huawei customers to come and have hands-on experience with our products, and take a step with our experience consultant to discover the future of technology and innovation.”
The store will also be showcasing Huawei’s latest devices such as the Matebook X Pro, Huawei P20 Pro and other products including tablets, smartwatches, fitness trackers and connected accessories.
Locally, Huawei CBG has 47 service centres in the region with two dedicated service centres in the UAE located in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. These service centres provide customers with after sales support and shorter service cycles for their devices. On the global front, the retail business has grown to over 53,000 Huawei stores and 3,500 Huawei Experience stores. The group is projected to build another 10,000 stores and 700 experience stores in 2018 globally.
Huawei CBG took the second spot as the world’s largest smartphone vendor globally and in the Middle East and Africa. According to the GFK May 2018 report, Huawei CBG market share in the Middle East and Africa was 21%, an increase of 31.25% when compared with the brand’s market share in December 2017. Huawei’s market share across countries in the MEA region exceeds 20%, including Levant at 37.4%, Oman at 30%, Saudi Arabia at 27%, Egypt at 24% and the UAE at 20%.
The store will be showcasing Huawei’s latest devices such as the Matebook X Pro and the Huawei P20 Pro.
