GBM APPOINTS COUNTRY GENERAL MANAGER FOR OMAN Eddy Abboud to lead GBM Oman’s business in the Sultanate
Gulf Business Machines (GBM) has appointed Eddy Abboud as General Manager of the company’s Oman business.
In his new role, Abboud will be responsible for spearheading GBM Oman’s efforts in support of the Sultanate’s Digital Oman Strategy, which strives to transform Oman into a modern digital society. He will also oversee client relationships in the Sultanate, supporting public and private sector organisations as they embark on their digital transformation journeys.

LOGICAL OPERATIONS GETS NEW REGIONAL DIRECTOR Subela Bhatia to drive the company’s growth strategy in the Middle East, Turket and Africa
Logical Operations, a provider of information technology instructor-led courseware, has appointed Subela Bhatia as the new regional director for Middle East, Turkey and Africa.
Bhatia joins the EMEA team and will be based out of the offices of EMT Distribution (Logical Operations’ recently signed distributor partner) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
In her role, Bhatia will work alongside the current director for Middle East, Naseema Akram, and will be responsible for driving Logical Operations next stage of growth in the region.
“My experience in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa has helped me hone strong relationships with customers and manage large accounts with government, academia and enterprises which provides a solid platform as I transition into this new role with Logical Operations,”added Bhatia.
“The recruitment of Subela in unison with the previously announced distributor agreement with EMT Distribution indicates Logical Operations clear intent of our growth ambitions as well as focus on providing our existing and new customers with world class support,” said James Varnham, managing director, EMEA at Logical Operations.
EQUINIX APPOINTS NEW PRESIDENT AND CEO
Charles Meyers takes lead at Equinix
Equinix has appointed Charles Meyers to the position of president and chief executive officer, effective immediately.
The global interconnection and data centre company has appointed Meyers, who will also join the Equinix board, to succeed Peter Van Camp.
Van Camp has served as interim CEO since January 2018. He will resume his role as executive chairman of the Equinix Board of Directors.
“Charles is an outstanding leader who has been a major contributor to Equinix’s success over the past eight years, playing critical roles in the company as we have quadrupled in size, growing from $1.2B in revenue to the

Eddy Abboud will take on the GM role for GBM Oman. Bhatia says Logical Operations is ahead of the game to tackle the growing need for employee skills development in META. Meyers will take on the CEO and president role at Equinix with immediate effect.
