D-Link Corporation, a provider of connectivity solutions for small, medium and large enterprise business networking, has launched the D-Fend AC2600 WiFi router in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) market.

According to the vendor, the latest wireless DIR-2680 router comes with chip technology innovation from Intel and is powered by McAfee security.

Sakkeer Hussain, director Sales and Marketing, D-Link Middle East and Africa (MEA), said the launch of D-Fend, a concurrent dual band wireless router upgraded to the latest 802.11ac standard technology brings the future of highbandwidth wireless connectivity, vastly increasing the speed and coverage of smart home networks.

Hussain said D-Link has collaborated with Intel and McAfee to bring to the MEA market a router that will afford users to enjoy streaming HD video and lightning-fast downloads on multiple devices without sacrificing privacy and safety. “The D-Fend smart home network protection gives home networks an extra layer of powerful and comprehensive security,” he said. “With voice assistant compatibility for Amazon Alexa integrated so that users can control their network with voice commands, the DIR-2680 is the ideal networking solution for the ever expanding smart home network that combines a WiFi router with smart home protection, parental controls and anti-virus.”

He added that the latest router kicks security up a notch and helps to keep kids safe online with age-based profiles and the ability to pause the internet when needed. “All this is part of the comprehensive parental controls offered by our D-Fend router,” he added.
