UAE-based rockers release music video

-

Gatilyo, an allFilipino rock band based in Dubai, has just launched the music video of their single Bagyo on MYX, the Philippine’s premiere Music channel.

The hard rock band started out as a song-writing project between David Ojeda of Goddamn electric and Mark Legaspi of 3rd Rail, prominent members of the Dubai’s underground rock scene. After their successful collaboration (in Bagyo), they decided to form the band, and in 2015, they were joined by Clyden Bonifacio of Verdad and Axel Florida of Stampede to complete the power house line-up. Gatilyo’s music is packed with explosive guitar riffs and powerful lyrics and melodies. Their soulful hard rock style gives them a distinct sound. Within three months, the band started writing songs, and after five songs, they hit the UAE’s underground gigs. They were selected to open up for Pinoy indie-rock stalwarts Franco’s concerts last year and also got invited to play for the Fiesta festival in Dubai. The band has also managed to get a clothing line endorsement and released their self titled EP before the year end .

Gatilyo started 2017 in a productive fashion with major UAE gigs, including opening up for rock Icon’s Kjwan first gig in the UAE, and the recently concluded Filipino music festival TagFest.

Gatilyo is expected to release another music video and a full album later this year.
