1 Meet the newbies
Chunky Pandey’s 19-year-old daughter Ananya might soon make her debut opposite Tiger Shroff in the second instalment of Student of the Year. Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, and Varun Dhawan rose to stardom with the first instalment after making their debut in the Karan Johar directorial. There will be two girls in the new film. Indian daily Mumbai Mirror reports that the second girl is said to be 22-yearold television actor Tara Sutaria. Karan auditioned over 800 girls before selecting the two actors. He won’t be directing the movie this time. Punit Malhotra who directed Gori Tere Pyaar Mein and I Hate Luv Storys will be directing the movie this time. Tiger is currently busy with a Yash Raj Films’ action drama which also stars Hrithik Roshan and Vaani Kapoor.
2 tough times for shraddha
Shraddha Kapoor’s last few films like OK Jaanu, Half Girlfriend, Rock On 2, Haseena Parkar did not do well at the box-office. Her Saina Nehwal biopic is taking time to kick off. There is a buzz that her coach feels that Shraddha is not able to find the right technique to play badminton to look like a champion on screen. He has apparently called her badminton skills ‘amateurish.’ The coach feels that she will not look convincing on the screen as of now if the film goes into production immediately. Adding more to her misery, we hear that a fashion brand is ending their contract with the actress. There are reports that she will be replaced by Jacqueline Fernandez who is having the best time of her career with movies like Race 3 with Salman Khan, Drive with Sushant Singh Rajput etc. Like they say, when it rains, it pours.
3 Kapoor fam in ras al khaimah
Sonam and Arjun Kapoor’s cousin, Mohit Marwah, is getting married in Ras Al Khaimah and the festivities have already begun. Mohit made his debut in Bollywood in 2014 with Fugly. He is getting married to Antara Motiwala and many celebrities are expected to attend this wedding. Mohit and Arjun have already started sharing some pictures on their Instagram accounts. We hear that Sonam, her sister Rhea, parents Anil and Sunita Kapoor will be present for the wedding. Surprisingly, Sridevi might also make an appearance with her husband Boney and two daughters.
4 Double celebration for sonam
Sonam Kapoor is an extremely busy girl these days. She is all set for the release of her film Veere Di Wedding, out on June 1. At the same time, she is also in full preparation mode for her impending wedding with her rumoured boyfriend Anand Ahuja. The wedding we hear will happen post the release of the Sonam, Kareena Kapoor, Swara Bhasker starrer movie. Sonam’s wedding will be a destination wedding that will take place outside of India.
