Kangana in a heated argument with journalist
The Queen actress got into a heated argument with a journalist during the launch of a song from Judgementall Hai Kya. It started when Kangana questioned the journalist over his negative comments on her last release, Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi.
An ugly exchange followed, and things only got worse with others getting involved. Kangana told the journalist, “Tum mere baare mei kitni gandi gandi baatein likhte ho. Itni gandi soch laate kahan se ho? You are bashing my film Manikarnika. Have I made a mistake by making a film? You are calling me a jingoistic person for making a film on nationalism.”
The journalist called Kangana’s action unfair and said that she was “intimidating” him.
Kangana also said that she had an interview with the journalist in the past, after which he personally texted her. She said that the journalist was in her van ‘for three hours and had lunch with her’. The journalist, however, kept on refuting this and said that he neither had lunch with Kangana, nor texted her.
Ekta Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao were seen trying to intervene in order to control the situation. Kangana is among the few actresses in mainstream Bollywood who have made brave film choices, and when asked if she felt scared while choosing unorthodox roles because it might affect her stardom, she said: “I do not get scared as such but definitely as an actor, I always make sure that we will not hurt anyone’s sentiment while making the film. I made a film called Manikarnika and during the release of that film, there wasn’t any controversies. No one took objection against that film because I am very considerate of everybody and their feelings.”
