A massive celebration takes place as a precursor to the abstinence of Lent, a 40-day religious observance. The festival is celebrated with much fanfare and runs across three days and nights with the legendary king Momo making his appearance to signify the beginning of the festivities. The streets in Goa reverbate with colourful parades, music, dance and food

Goa can look forward to celebrating the carnival with as much pomp and gaiety at the Goan Carnival Dance that’s organised by Razzmatazz 360 Degrees at the Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai, on February 21.

The event is being headlined by the popular Goan band Black in White who will delight the audience with their selection of hit music as well as carnival numbers. Uae-bands Sensations from Abu Dhabi, and Desert Rain from Sharjah will also be there to liven up the proceedings. Local Emcees Boney Coelho and Conrad Caeiro will keep the audience enthralled through the evening with their entertaining banter. The main highlight of the show will be the Carnival King Momo Parade.
