Kuwait’s qual­ity of telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions ser­vice is ex­cel­lent. Do­mes­ti­cally, new tele­phone ex­changes pro­vide a large ca­pac­ity for new sub­scribers. Trunk traf­fic is car­ried by mi­crowave ra­dio re­lays, coax­ial ca­bles, and open-wire and fi­bre­op­tic ca­bles. A 4G LTE mo­bile-cel­lu­lar tele­phone sys­tem op­er­ates through­out Kuwait, and the coun­try is well-supplied with pay tele­phones. In­ter­net ac­cess is avail­able via 4G LTE con­nec­tions for fixed and mo­bile users.

In­ter­na­tion­ally, Kuwait is linked to in­ter­na­tional sub­ma­rine ca­ble Fi­bre-Op­tic Link Around the Globe (FLAG), and linked to the UAE, Bahrain and other na­tions via the Fi­bre-Op­tic Gulf (FOG) ca­ble. There is also a coax­ial ca­ble and mi­crowave ra­dio re­lay to Saudi Ara­bia. Kuwait has six satel­lite earth sta­tions: three In­tel­sat (in­clud­ing one in the At­lantic Ocean and two in the In­dian Ocean), one In­marsat, and two Arab­sat (2018 anal­y­sis).
