ADRONIS BOUTIQUE HOTEL

Santorini

The suites are carved out of the cliffside – very cavern-like and cool inside – and the white exterior is covered in tumbling pink bougainvillea. Each suite has its own hot tub or pool, which is the perfect thing to tumble into first thing in the morning, or last thing at night. Upon arrival, you’re greeted with a bubbly mixed drink and the service is flawless. Doubles from AED 1,140; 0030-228607 2182, adronisboutiquehotel.com

From the moment you arrive everything is organised, like horse riding and kayaking, bear or whale watching and helicopter rides. NOMADE TULUM

Mexico

This is the place for bohemian beach luxury. Rooms open to the sand, or you could be surrounded by greenery in a jungle suite nestled amid huge ferns and flowers. The rustic cabanas are stylishly put together – all stone and wood with furnishings that have an almost Moroccan feel to them. I also love the enormous bean bags and hammocks on the whitesand beach, not to mention the delicious agavebased drinks on tap. Doubles from AED 1,170; 0052-984-873 3087, nomadetulum.com

HOTEL CALA DI VOLPI, A LUXURY COLLECTION HOTEL

Costa Smeralda

On an idyllic bay in Italy, this hotel is ridiculously romantic. Exuding style and sophistication, the rooms have whitewashed stone walls with beautifully painted tiles and are furnished with antique iron beds, as well as a lovely balcony overlooking the water. Lunch by the pool is a must – the Sardinian fare is to die for. This is the perfect spot for couples. Doubles from AED 1,386; 0039-07-8997 6111; 0039-07-8997 6111, marriott.com

SOHO FARMHOUSE

Oxfordshire

A chic escape in the countryside, guests have their own wooden cabin, which includes a fully stocked kitchen, a huge iron bathtub and a rainforest shower filled with Cowshed products. They’ve thought of absolutely everything, down to providing bicycles to explore the property and Wellington boots in case you fancy a walk in the rain. Every morning, a milk float comes by your cabin to serve the perfect English fry-up. It’s the ultimate country getaway. Doubles from AED 1,900; 0044-16-0869 1000, sohofarmhouse.com
