The Bodrum EDITION, Turkey

It feels almost as if the Aegean Sea is lapping at your doorstep, so clear is your view of the placid aquamarine waterbody, providing a contrast to the Deluxe Sea View Room’s clean white palette. Though muted in tone, the sleek, contemporary design is anything but boring with natural sisal carpets, marble bathrooms stocking specially crafted Le Labo toiletries and – in some of the 102 rooms – skylights. Clinging to a hillside, the hotel’s rooms tumble down to the beach, where acclaimed chef Diego Muñoz oversees Latin American-influenced cuisine using Turkish ingredients at thatched-roof BRAVA. Also at the water’s edge, an infinity pool and beach club, as well as a spa which nestles, at its heart, a Turkish hammam, where you can immerse yourself in the country’s ancient traditions without leaving behind the comforts of modernity.
