Writing this Egypt story was fun because… “There’s so much happening in Egypt at any time, even when tourists are staying away, so it has been fun to track down some of the new openings – places like Cairopolitan, the new Tahrir Cultural Center and the Luxor Art Gallery.”

Which destination do you predict as a hotspot for 2019? “Egypt, obviously! Visitors have been cautious since the fallout from the overthrow of President Morsi in 2013, but this is a place we all want to experience at least once, and with things staying calm, 2019 should be a big year along the Nile and on the Red Sea.”
