What’s your dream summer destination? Ideally I’d be able to mix somewhere frivolous, decadent and beachy like St Tropez, Sardinia or The Hamptons with a more adventurous second stop that would give me somewhere new to tick off my travel bucket list. And I have to pay London a visit as that park-filled city bathed in sunshine is pure joy.
What are your summer wardrobe essentials? Oversized maxi sundresses, gold sandals and huge sunglasses. And chic pyjamas that you can venture out in if you have a sudden craving for a midnight snack.
What’s in your beach bag? Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Brush-On Shield for the face and Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protector Lotion.
What are your recommended beach reads? How to Fail by Elizabeth Day gives you a fascinating glimpse into how successful – and diverse – people cope with trying times.
What’s been your best alfresco meal? Lunch at the Tahiti Beach Club in St Tropez with two of my closest girlfriends. I couldn’t tell you what we ate but the heavens opened mid-meal and instead of the crowd scattering for cover, the venue cranked up the music and everyone started dancing on their tables in the pouring rain.
Where next? I am hoping to catch the Great Migration in Tanzania’s Serengeti with Asilia Africa. I have been on safari before but never seen the spectacle where over 1.5 million animals move at the same time.
