Thisyear’s The Big 5 Talks will see regional experts deliver educational and knowledge-sharing sessions focused on the Middle East’s latest construction industry-related trends.
Key sessions that will be delivered as a part of The Big 5 Talks include Adnan Al Abbar, senior vice president of group planning and project management at DP World, who will speak on ‘Project Management Best Practice in the Development of Mina Rashid’.
Reed Smith’s managing partner for the Middle East, Sachin Kerur, will explain how the effective delivery of regional projects can be ensured. Al Abbar and Kerur will speak on 26 November.
Day 2 of The Big 5 2018 will see Arab Consulting Engineers’ project manager, Mohamed Abdalla Hassan Hamed, explain how to contend with project changes, while Arcadis’s projects director for water and infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain will explain the “barriers to technology adoption in construction projects in the GCC”.
Days 3 and 4 of the show are also power-packed: HKS Architects’ Ala Hason will outline the role of architects in smart city developments on 28 November, while Woods Bagot’s regional masterplanning leader, Paolo Testolini, will close the show with insights on happiness-driven sustainable design.
