Thisyear’s The Big 5 Talks will see re­gional ex­perts de­liver ed­u­ca­tional and knowl­edge-shar­ing ses­sions fo­cused on the Mid­dle East’s lat­est con­struc­tion in­dus­try-re­lated trends.

Key ses­sions that will be de­liv­ered as a part of The Big 5 Talks in­clude Ad­nan Al Ab­bar, se­nior vice pres­i­dent of group plan­ning and project man­age­ment at DP World, who will speak on ‘Project Man­age­ment Best Prac­tice in the Devel­op­ment of Mina Rashid’.

Reed Smith’s man­ag­ing part­ner for the Mid­dle East, Sachin Kerur, will ex­plain how the ef­fec­tive de­liv­ery of re­gional projects can be en­sured. Al Ab­bar and Kerur will speak on 26 Novem­ber.

Day 2 of The Big 5 2018 will see Arab Con­sult­ing En­gi­neers’ project man­ager, Mo­hamed Ab­dalla Has­san Hamed, ex­plain how to con­tend with project changes, while Ar­cadis’s projects di­rec­tor for wa­ter and in­fra­struc­ture in Saudi Ara­bia and Bahrain will ex­plain the “bar­ri­ers to tech­nol­ogy adop­tion in con­struc­tion projects in the GCC”.

Days 3 and 4 of the show are also power-packed: HKS Ar­chi­tects’ Ala Ha­son will out­line the role of ar­chi­tects in smart city de­vel­op­ments on 28 Novem­ber, while Woods Bagot’s re­gional mas­ter­plan­ning leader, Paolo Testolini, will close the show with in­sights on hap­pi­ness-driven sus­tain­able de­sign.
