A little bit about yourself:
“I’m Lithuanian, an international hairstylist and love nature, yoga, running, plant-based food, traveling and learning. I don’t like gyms or any kind of hair or nail extensions, diets, sugary drinks and shopping malls. As you can tell, I love visiting different parts of the world and practising yoga.”
When did you get into yoga?
“Around four years ago.”
How often do you practise it?
“At least five times a week.”
How has it changed you?
“Without yoga, I would be a completely different human being. It has given me so much and has made me feel so much better, both emotionally and physically. ”
What are some of parts of the world you have practiced yoga?
“My favourite place was Purple Valley in Goa, India, followed by New York City, London and, Berlin.”
Where do you practice yoga in Dubai?
“I go to Ashtanga Yoga.”
What is the most difficult part about practicing yoga?
“Each time can feel different. Sometimes, your body is too tired to actually practise... there are many obstacles, most of which are related to the physical body. Also, I’m not naturally flexible so, it takes me a long time to open up certain areas. You just have to listen to your body and go slowly. But once you push yourself, you’re rewarded for the rest of the day. ”
Which part of the world would you like to travel to next?
“I’d love to travel to California, Cape Town and New Zealand. My next sto, though, is definitely Bali.”
What is the strangest place you’ve practiced yoga?
“There’s no place too strange for me to practise yoga. I always find myself stretching in the middle of the day, whether it’s queuing at the grocery store, at work, or on a long plane ride. The more yoga I do, the more love, peace and kindness I feel. Breathe in. Breathe out.”
“WITHOUT YOGA I WOULD BE A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT HUMAN BEING. IT HAS GIVEN ME SO MUCH AND HAS MADE ME FEEL BETTER EMOTIONALLY AND PHYSICALLY... IF YOU’RE NOT FLEXIBLE LIKE ME, LISTEN TO YOUR BODY AND GO SLOWLY...”
